North Island of New Zealand.

Taupo is in the central North Island, on the top side of the big lake - lake Taupo, which by the way was once a mountain. Its eruption, one of the largest in recorded history, formed a caldera volcano ie. the crater collapsed in on itself and allowed the lake to be formed. There are still geothermal hot spots in and around the  lake.

See below for a link for info about the Taupo volcanic area.

Hunting I offer in the North Island is mainly south west of Lake Taupo.

Our capital Wellington is at the very bottom tip.

SOUTH ISLAND

South Island of New Zealand.

Fiordland is the area bottom left (ie. South -West part of NZ) It is largely unihabited, very rugged in places with many fiords.

I offer a fantastic hunting trip to an area due west of Tuatapere (left of Invercargill).

See 'Fiordland Special'

Great hunting!
